DETAILS FOR APPLYING FOR SUMMER / SHORT TERM INTERNSHIP AT CSIR-CFTRI, MYSURU (Effective from Nov 2025)
Summer Internship/Short Term Internship is offered at CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru for students of graduation and post-graduation of other
Universities/Academic institutions to complete the requirement of their degree/course.
Duration of Internship: 2 months only.
Internship will involve a brief research component under a mentor.
The students coming in a group (minimum 15 and up to 30 students) from
any-other academic institutions, the duration of internship will be for a maximum period of 1 month and it will be an exposure visit.
A minimum of 60% marks for general candidates
and 50% for SC/ST candidates in the completed semesters of the corresponding degree and the student should be presently pursuing the under/post graduate degree course.
The short-term internship trainee should abstain from publishing the report in
any form except for the academic degree requirement to the college/institute/university from where the student has registered. At the end of short-term internship, the
trainee will receive a completion certificate upon submission of a brief report (individual/ collective).
Application for internship can be submitted throughout the year, but it must be
submitted at least one month before the proposed date of start of the internship.
The fee for short-term internship trainee is ₹10,000/-(ten thousand only) plus
GST as applicable. There is a concession of 50% of the fee for students belonging to SC/ST category.
Applicants need to send email to hrd@cftri.res.in for internship along with the
Recommendation letter from the HoD of the College/University (on College/University letter head duly signed with seal affixed) clearly specifying the dates and duration of
the proposed internship at CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru. All the emails sent to this email-id should have the subject “Internship”.
The candidates will be intimated through email and they have to pay the
internship fee of Rs.10,000/- plus GST (Rs.11,800/-) through NEFT. The full fee should be paid at once before the date mentioned in the email.
The Institute will not provide any accommodation for the students during
Internship.
