Every year CFTRI Alumni Association institutes award to meritorious M.Sc. Food Technology Students. This year the award ceremony function was held on 9th July 2009. The Chief Guest of the function Shri MK Panduranga Setty presented the awards to meritorious students.

Ms.Vrunda Patel of MSc Food Tech. 2006-08 batch, receiving "CFTRI Alumni Association Silver Medal" from Shri MK Panduranga Setty and Dr.V Prakash Chief Patron of the Alumni Association		Rashmi Kumari of MSc Food Tech 2007-09 batch, receiving "Ranganna-Setty Memorial Award" for Best Investigation from Dr. V Prakash Chief Patron of the Alumni Association. Shri MK Panduranga Setty is also seen with the award winner.
